FINALLY. Â I got to shoot a bridal somewhere other than the Cotton Mill. Â I kid, but it IS nice to shoot somewhere different for a change :) Â The NYLO is a hip new hotel in Plano. Â You should go get a room there. Â Decent rates for a night’s stay, and excellent weekend packages. Ashley killed…

Amazing! I love when her lip curls :-)
I love that hotel! Awesome pics!
Ashley has the most amazing look! What a beautiful shoot. I love the light!
Did you know that your “My Gear” link isnt working….I’m dying to know what equipment you have!!!
Love your work. So. Much.
man, you kick so much spine it’s scary! How did you do the light in the fourth one down? (the one in front of that industrial steel-looking wall with her hands behind her head) I love that shot!!!
You just kill it every time. The wind in her hair in the outdoor portraits is just perfect. And the location is pretty wicked. I need to find some snazzy hotels in SF to shoot at.. :)
Rockin work!
@Sterling – That just the light in the elevator.
@Kiera – Working on it, but I can’t seem to get it to work :(
FWIW, I use all Canon gear. I shot this bride using exclusively a 5D MKII body, 50 1.2, 24 1.4, and a 45 T/S.
:P
YES SIR!
Beautiful…..

Very nice! Love the location! Poser, you should come hang with the guys here in OKC sometime. Would love to have you over at the studio.
that’s way too many stellar portraits for one bride. i say she pays you double ;)
I love her facial expressions, she looks so awesome!
The black and white image makes me happy in ways I can’t explain.
@Nessa – Totally my FAVE!! So glad you like that one in particular ;)

Beautiful bride. Great great work my friend!
Oh my gosh. Such a gorgeous wedding. That shot in black and white of her being lit from above is unbelievable. Thank you for sharing your gift.
Kickin some butt there my friend. Simply amazing!!! It’s so cool how you just play with the light… It’s like you guys are best friends :)
Friggin awesome wedding, beautiful feel to the shots
Hooray that you’re back.
Hooray for a priest that lets you move about.
Hooray for dope reception lighting.
Oh, Poser, Poser. You KILLED it, as per usual. Love those b&w shots of the bride getting her dress on. Gorgeous.
you rocked this one- great as usual! glad you are back! :)
You da man!!! Not amazed that your stuff is still amazing. I relate my love of your photography with my faith. Some times you doubt until God shows you “Wud Up”. I wait with baited breath for your next blog post when I should know it will be fantastic. I learned just the other day that faith is a gift from our Lord and all we need is to “have faith” and not to worry about weather “I” think its enough. I know that since your work is ordained by God, why do I nervously wait for your fruits? I will always, from now until my bones are dust, wait impatiently for your work ONLY because I KNOW it’s good, not because I worry that it will not measure up.
Dang, Erik, there are pics here worth millions in flesh dollars. Sheesh. Kill it doesn’t even cover it. Wud up with the split well on the brides arm? Technical genius!
Holy megapost Erik. It looks like heaven is shinning down on that cake.
Gorgeous – love the reception shots – color, movement, light all captured beautifully!

St. Thomas is a gorgeous chruch … shot there in Jan. How in the world did you get to move around that much in there? The “coordinator” must have been having a REALLY good day. :-) Great images as usual!
Great job capturing the personalities! Love the use of light. : )

This project seems excellent! there is a definite need for good wedding photographers who capture the love of the day, rather than being obsessed with everyone being in the right place,
